This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
As one of the premier photographic destination in New England, and even the world, Nubble Lighthouse is a tough place to get an 'original' image. Last year, Michael Blanchette captured a stunning view of this lighthouse during a full moon that left us awestruck. Some could be discouraged following in the footsteps of brilliance, but I was personally inspired. It made me want to get down here and make a powerful moon image myself. The opportunity presented itself yesterday evening, with a full moon and predictions of clear skies. Since I've had use of a 400mm lens, it's been fun to getting the moon to appear larger by compressing scenes that are far away. Using the photographer's ephemeris, I saw that the moon would rise over Nubble from about 20 degrees southwest on Long Sands Beach. My photography buddy Adam Woodworth joined me, and we climbed through waist-high snow drifts to get into position. This wasn't the image I had in mind. A bank of clouds obscured...

Click the small magnifying glass below to search for the image you are looking for. I hope these images bring you a sense of the deep connection that Ive felt when making them. Thats my number one goal when Im out with my camera. I want to be totally connected, engrossed, enamored, and maybe even enraptured with what is in front of me. If Im successful at this, I think you will feel it too. What do I connect with? What excites me? The first thing that comes to mind is standing in awe and wonder at nature and natural phenomena — especially dramatic weather. And I’m fascinated by how human beings fit into the natural world in symbiotic, beautiful, and ingenious ways. I love showcasing the places and spaces that bring us close to...

So to be clear, this is not a 'shot', it is 'shopped'. There is no 'surf' at the Nubble, as it is a granite ledge facing the island. The same granite ledge which is always visible from this angle...unless you remove it and replace it with a beach reflecting moonlight from someplace else. The line is clearly visible to the educated eye just below the shore of the island. Pretty, yes. Real, no not even close. Educate yourselves before buying.
